GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Like every GTA game before it, GTA 6 will have a full set of cheat codes you can enter during gameplay to unlock weapons, max out health and armor, change your wanted level, spawn vehicles, and alter the world around you.
In GTA 5, cheats were entered either via the in-game phone dial pad or by pressing a specific button combination on the controller. GTA 6 is expected to use a similar system — most likely through the in-game phone, which both Jason and Lucia carry throughout the story.
We'll update this page the moment the game is out with every confirmed cheat code.
📱 Tip: In GTA 5, cheats entered via the phone were more reliable than button combos and worked across all platforms. Expect GTA 6 to work the same way.
Based on GTA 5 and the GTA series tradition, these are the cheat categories that almost certainly return in GTA 6:
In GTA 5, using cheats disabled trophies and achievements for that session — you had to reload your save to re-enable them. The same restriction is expected in GTA 6. If you care about Platinum, don't use cheats.

GTA 6 is expected to follow the same pattern — most of these cheat types will return, likely with different button sequences. The phone dial system is expected to be the primary method.
In GTA 5, cheat codes were completely disabled in GTA Online. This is almost certainly the case for GTA 6 Online as well — Rockstar doesn't allow cheats in multiplayer to protect fair play. Any "money cheats" advertised for GTA Online are scams or modded lobbies that can get your account banned.
For GTA Online money, the legitimate options will be: completing missions, heists, businesses, and the Shark Card microtransaction system that Rockstar will almost certainly bring back.
This is the single most important cheat tip: always save your game manually before activating any cheat. In GTA 5, cheats disabled auto-save and also disabled trophy progression for that entire session. If you accidentally save with cheats active, you could lose trophy progress permanently on that save file.
Best practice: keep a clean save file that you never touch cheats on, and a separate "fun" save file for experimenting with cheats freely.
GTA 6 is built for PS5 and is expected to make use of the DualSense controller's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. While cheats themselves are a legacy feature, entering button-combination cheats on the DualSense will feel different than on PS4 — the triggers have resistance, and muscle memory from GTA 5 may not transfer perfectly. The phone dial method will almost certainly be the easier option on PS5.
